South Eastern Australia

The South Eastern Australia wine appellation encompasses the premium winegrowing regions of South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and the island state of Tasmania. These states contain some of Australia’s most famous wine districts, such as Barossa Valley in South Australia, Yarra Valley in Victoria and Hunter Valley in New South Wales. Although each sub-appellation has its own distinctive microclimate and soil, the South Eastern Australia appellation in general is warm and sunny with little rainfall. These conditions ensure that the region’s diverse array of grape types – Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Lexia (a luscious Muscat variety) – ripen fully on the vine, developing the rich, fruit-forward flavors for which Australian wines are celebrated.

Having the flexibility of selecting grapes from any or all of these world-class Australian wine regions enables Alice White’s winemakers to craft high-quality varietal wines and blends that epitomize Australian wine character and quality while offering tremendous value.

Judging by our robust sales and the 19 “Best Value” awards Alice White has won from Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast magazines over the years, it seems both consumers and wines critics thoroughly enjoy Having a Glass with Alice.
