Alice Wins Top Honors at San Francisco Pop Show

Popular Australian Brand Wins First Place for Unique Holiday Display

Concord, CA. (November 7, 2005) — Alice White, one of the fastest-growing Australian wine brands in the United States, took home the top prize at this year's San Francisco P.O.P show, winning first place for its elegant, festive Holiday Gift Box Retail Display.

The colorful display, designed and manufactured by Icon Design and Display of Santa Rosa, features four brightly colored wooden boxes stacked at jaunty angles. The boxes, which hold a total of six and a half cases of wine, are designed to look like wrapped holiday gifts. Icon used the popular Alice White capsule wrap design for this effect, adding bright ribbons and bows and a routed kangaroo to top the display. The boxes stack one inside the other for easy shipping.

"In addition to being truly unique and eye-catching, this display really meets the needs of all parties involved," said Jeff Muller, National Promotions Director for Canandaigua Wine Company. "It offers a classic holiday theme with a new twist and ships in one small box. It's also easy to assemble and has a small footprint—a huge plus for retailers this time of year."

The San Francisco P.O.P. Show, now in its 45 th year, recognizes the key innovators in brand marketing and retail displays. A prestigious panel of 22 judges comprised of producers, brand marketers and retailers identified winners in a range of categories. Retail displays were judged on quality, creativity, innovation and perceived ability to increase sales and make products enticing and memorable to consumers.

Alice White Gift Box Displays will be featured in retailers nationwide throughout the holiday season.
